A short list of rules that define how we write about power stations. We publish them so you can hold us to them.
We treat all spec sheets as claims until we or a trusted third party verify them. Where a number is unverified, the page says so explicitly. We do not present manufacturer-provided runtime figures as fact.
Higher commission never raises a score. Sponsored placements are clearly labeled as sponsorships and do not appear in our best-of guides.
We will rank a product with no affiliate program higher than one with a lucrative program when the value and spec are better.
When a product becomes overpriced relative to its category, our Serious Score and our recommendation reflect that — even if the spec sheet did not change.
Author profiles reflect real experience. We do not invent biographies to make recommendations feel more authoritative.
Each product review shows the date its spec data and price were last verified. When we correct an error, we update the timestamp.
